  1. On Wednesday, 7 May 2025, 16.00-17.30, the DAFR delegation will hold a meeting in Strasbourg (room: WEISS S2.2) and the main item of the agenda will be the exchange of views on "Sharing international responsibility for protecting victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo" (with participation of DEVE and FEMM Committees and DROI Subcommitttee) in the presence of:

    Dr Denis Mukwege, 2018 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and 2014 Sakharov Prize Laureate

    The meeting will be webstreamed.

  2. In the week of 28 of April, Members' work will be split between meetings in Parliamentary Committees and political groups. The Committees on Employment and Social Affairs and on Culture and Education will host Executive Vice-President Roxana Minzatu on 5 May to discuss the Union of Skills. Launched in March, the initiative focuses on high quality education and skills development to address labour shortages and strengthen EU competitiveness.   4. A meeting of the Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia (DSAS) was held on Wednesday, 2 April 2025 at 15.00-16.30 in Strasbourg.
    This meeting was dedicated to the preparation of the upcoming 14th European Union - Islamic Republic of Pakistan Inter-Parliamentary Meeting (IPM) planned to take place from 14 to 16 April in Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan.
    As main topic on the draft agenda, there was an exchange of views with:
    • Mr Jan HOFMOKL, Deputy Head of Division, Asia and Pacific (ASIAPAC.2), European External Action Service (EEAS)
    • Mr Fabien GEHL, Deputy Head of Unit, South and South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand Unit (TRADE.C.2), and Mr Guido DOLARA, Policy Officer, Generalised Scheme of Preferences (TRADE.C.3), Directorate-General for Trade and Economic Security (EC)
    • Mr Syed Faraz Hussain ZAIDI, Chargé d'Affaires, Embassy of Pakistan

    The meeting was held in camera.

  5. The Committee on Security and Defence (SEDE) - in association with the Delegation for relations with the NATO PA (DNAT) - held an exchange of views with Radmila Shekerinska, NATO Deputy Secretary General, on deterrence and defence, defence spending and defence industry, on Thursday, 20 March 2025 in Brussels.
